Barney Frank and his team have been working relentlessly to overturn the UIGEA all through 2009. Their concerted efforts however, are yet to pay off and the issue of online gambling is now due to be resolved by June 2010. While the congress is bogged down over issues relating to health care and financial reform, the online gaming issue has again been put on the back burner. The Congress was due to resolve the issue on regulating online gambling in the US by 2009 or by the fall of 2010.
