The Olympic Entertainment Group, normally known more simply as OEG, have just launched their own new Playtech powered online casino, under the name of OlyBet.com. Those who have become a little tired of their current games, perhaps at a site such as Captain Cooks online, will be pleased to have the opportunity to try something new in the form of this rebranded and relaunched site, which replaces their previous offering and gives a new way for those who like the brand to get involved with it. They relaunched in August, and have now added the full set of their new software.
OEG had previously operated a Playtech powered online casino and poker site in 2010 under the Olympic Casino brand Olympic Online, but the website was closed down in August this year in order to make room for the new OlyBet brand. They then relaunched the site in the same month, initially just providing sports betting through the system provided by Ilforum and poker through the Microgaming Poker Network, but they have now added all their online casino games as well thanks to the Playtech software which has been reinstated on the site. Playtech chief operating officer Shay Segev said: “Playtech is thrilled to take part in OlyBet’s launch and is delighted about the opportunity to enter new regulated markets. We are honoured OlyBet has chosen Playtech as their exclusive casino provider and are confident that our offering in the casino space will allow OlyBet to reach its goals and revenue targets.” OlyBet is designed to target players from Estonia and Latvia primarily, though it is open to those from other countries around the world, and the operator has already proven their ability is by becoming one of just two companies that were awarded a licence to operate in Latvia, alongside the subsidiary of Nordic Leisure, Optibet.
“With the help of Playtech, we are launching something truly unique to support our land-based casino and sports bar operations, as OlyBet provides the region’s greatest selection of online casino games, delightful poker interface, the best selection of events and the most favourable odds for sports betting,” said Kaido Ulejev, head of OlyBet. The brand is a subsidiary of Olympic Casino Latvia SIA, who are so far doing quite well in the Latvian industry and have managed to establish themselves as a strong force there with plenty of online casino players already signed up to the site and playing on a regular basis. There may be some further software additions to come, so we will have to keep an eye on this company to see just what they are going to come up with next. They are clearly very much committed to making sure that they always provide the best possible experience for their players, as they have not only relaunched their site but also updated all of the suite of games that they offer and make sure to include sports betting and poker as well as the normal casino games.
