O’Sheas Reopens in Vegas

VIP Bet

If you are always dreaming of the time when you used to go to O’Sheas in Las Vegas, and if you have been restricted to playing at sites like the VIP Bet Casino online since it closed down for lack of anything better, then there is news coming out of Las Vegas which will surely warm your heart and get you excited about gambling again. The Las Vegas casino known for its casual party atmosphere has finally reopened, after closing in 2012 to make way for an outdoor promenade and Ferris wheel project created by Caesars entertainment.

O’Sheas, albeit in a smaller format, opened its doors recently after a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, promising to carry on the old traditions which made it famous. “$5 blackjack, beer pong tournaments every day, starting at 3 p.m. We got live entertainment seven days a week. Can’t beat it on the Strip,” general manager Jason Frese said. The Irish themed casino was a favourite for many people, and so it is sure to be music to the ears of many that they are still intending to carry on the great blackjack games that they were known for as well as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The $550 million Linq Project was to blame for the closing of the casino, but there is perhaps a silver lining to this story in the element that O’Sheas is now connected to the new entertainment district as part of The Quad, so those who visit the casino get access not just to the same moments which it has always been known for but also to the new features of the surrounding area which Caesars Entertainment have spent a lot of money upgrading. “This is phase one of The Linq, which is a $550 million development for Caesars Entertainment, and we’re so proud to be one of the first things to open and be the casino for The Linq,” Eileen Moore with Caesars Entertainment said. “And to really deliver on the Save O’Sheas Campaign that Mr. Lucky started and bring back the legend that has been here 23 years is awesome.”

The benefit of the new casino, for those who live in the local area, will be the opening of plenty of new jobs. “In food and beverage alone, I’ll be hiring 800 people over the next four months, but we’re going to be hiring probably about 1,800 people in the next four months to, of course, fill the new casino, but there will probably be another 1,500 more jobs in Las Vegas for the tenants in The Linq,” vice-president of Food and Beverage Shawn Ritchie said. Many people spoke out about their sadness to hear of the closing of O’Sheas, and it really seems as though the gaming industry listened, as the ocean or marquee is still outside together with a mural which people will certainly recognise from the old location, even if this is a completely fresh start for the popular casino venue.
